Requirements

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site management and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access to restricted or sensitive areas, verify credentials when required, and support loss prevention efforts by observing for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or potential theft-related activity.
• Assist with emergency situations such as medical events, alarms, evacuations, and/or disorderly conduct while following post orders and communicating clearly with management, employees, and responding agencies.
