About The Position

Las Vegas Urology is seeking an experienced insurance verification professional to help patients have a smooth experience. The Eligibility Specialist verifies insurance benefits, processes referrals, and supports front office staff in communicating patient responsibility. The position also involves maintaining accurate patient documentation and protecting patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two to three years of experience in insurance verification, authorizations, or claims.
• Two years of medical authorization experience; clinic-setting experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare and managed care.
• Proficiency with MS Office and electronic health records.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Clinic-setting experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance benefits for new and existing patients.
• Check daily physician schedules and communicate out-of-pocket costs.
• Input referrals and notify patients about issues or rescheduling needs.
• Perform quality control checks on patient documentation.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
