About The Position

This position is located in Noblesville, Indiana, and offers an opportunity for a customer service-focused individual to work with the FSSA / Division of Family Resources (DFR) as an Eligibility Assistant. The role involves providing general office support and assistance to caseworkers and clients applying for public assistance. This includes direct interaction with the general public, clients, office staff, and other state personnel. The DFR is responsible for determining eligibility for individuals applying for or receiving public assistance programs such as TANF (cash assistance), SNAP, and Medicaid. Eligibility Assistant staff primarily work at the front desk, assisting clients with applications, collecting paperwork, processing applications, and performing other administrative tasks. Responsibilities

  • Welcome all on-site visitors and determine nature of business
  • Review client information for accuracy
  • Assist with computer applications
  • Schedule client appointments
  • Scan documents into client case file
  • Maintain fax machines and copier functions
  • Answer and direct incoming calls
  • Maintain daily activity reports
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all clients
