About The Position

Delaware Elevator, Inc. is hiring an Elevator Service Technician to support operations across the Carolinas. The technician maintains the safety, performance, and reliability of elevator systems in private and public infrastructure environments. The role involves hands-on service work, troubleshooting, independent route and customer management, and adherence to safety and fit-for-duty requirements. Travel within the Carolinas territory is required as needed, with occasional overnight stays. Some projects may involve heavier lifting.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of independent experience as an Elevator Mechanic or Technician.
• Valid elevator mechanic credentials; a state license is preferred, and additional experience may be considered.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to meet fit-for-duty physical requirements, including handling physical workloads.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

Nice To Haves

• State elevator mechanic license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, repair, adjust, and test mechanical and electrical elevator systems.
• Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently and accurately.
• Monitor elevator performance and proactively identify issues.
• Follow procedures meticulously to ensure compliance and safety.
• Participate in scheduled after-hours on-call rotations.
• Respond to emergencies, entrapments, and urgent repair needs.
• Manage service routes and customer needs independently.
• Deliver timely, professional solutions in the field.
• Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and fit-for-duty requirements.
• Travel within the Carolinas territory as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
