About The Position

The Elevator Operator supports daily grain handling operations by safely receiving, storing, drying, cleaning, and shipping bulk commodities. The role involves operating equipment, completing inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure product quality and consistent material flow in a fast-paced agricultural environment that requires attention to safety, teamwork, and operational discipline. The position is located in Atchison, Kansas, and pays $20 per hour. From December through August, the schedule is 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. From September through November, the schedule is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Requirements

Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Must be 18 years or older.
Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in cold or warm production settings, including in guarded areas at heights from 4 to 150 feet.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, bending, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Perform facility operations such as receiving and shipping products, which may include fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and grain.
Provide basic maintenance and operator care of equipment to support ongoing facility operations.
Provide excellent customer service and engage with team members.
Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
