About The Position
This position is responsible for the operation of the grain elevator, focusing on the efficient, safe, and sanitary loading, unloading, and transferring of grain and grain products. The role also involves assisting or leading in other aspects of grain handling, storage, facility/equipment maintenance, and overall elevator operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent desired
- 0-1 year of experience
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a safety-conscious environment
- Ability to work in a highly quality-controlled environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all areas of loading, unloading, and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, and rail (location specific).
- Perform basic housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Assist in basic maintenance activities.
- Understand and adhere to all facets of Bunge’s safety programs and culture.
- Learn new tasks and equipment operations.
- Maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel.
- Learn the operations of the elevator.
- Understand and follow general safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
