About The Position

Operates elevator to transport materials and equipment between floors on loading docks at The Moscone Center. This role requires a dependable and reliable individual who can ensure the safe and efficient operation of the elevator.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Dependable and reliable
• Must be courteous and friendly
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Able to complete assignments with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow instructions
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
• Requires standing and sitting throughout the shift
• Must be flexible to work any shifts, days and hours, including holidays and weekends
• Consistent availability Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

• Operates elevator to transport materials and equipment between floors on loading docks.
• Moves control levers or pushes buttons to control movement of elevator.
• Opens and closes safety gate and door of elevator at each floor where a stop is made.
• Ensures all passengers get in and out of the elevator safely before proceeding to close the doors.
• Informs users regarding load drop-off locations and helps them reach the correct destination/floor.
• Reports any elevator malfunction to the supervisor.
• Follows all safety procedures, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
• Notifies security and supervisor immediately when unauthorized persons enter the elevator.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
