About The Position

Operates elevator to transport materials and equipment between floors on loading docks. Moves control levers or pushes buttons to control elevator movement. Opens and closes the safety gate and door of the elevator at each floor where a stop is made. When transporting passengers, ensures all passengers safely enter and exit the elevator before proceeding to close the doors. Informs users about load drop-off locations and assists them in reaching the correct destination/floor. Must report any elevator malfunction to the supervisor. Follows all provided safety procedures, guidelines, rules, and regulations. Notifies security and supervisor immediately when unauthorized persons enter the elevator. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Dependable and reliable
• Courteous and friendly
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English
• Able to complete assignments with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow instructions
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
• Requires standing and sitting throughout the shift
• Must be flexible to work any shifts, days and hours, including holidays and weekends
