About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy is seeking a part-time Elementary Teacher to teach 4th Grade in a classical and Catholic classroom for approximately 14 hours per week in Brookfield, CT for the 2026-2027 academic year. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required, as training will be provided. The ideal candidate may have experience in homeschooling, working with homeschool children, ministry within a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism classes, teaching their own children, or teaching in a classical or private school. Regina Caeli Academy is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition, offering instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. Childcare/nursery is provided. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and possess a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines will be provided, and tutors will be trained in instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant will have strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be living the Catholic faith daily, including having received all appropriate sacraments. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.
