Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
Valid state teaching certification for elementary education.
Previous experience teaching elementary students.
Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to the Christian faith and the mission of Parkhurst Academy.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across various subjects to elementary students.
Develop and implement a curriculum that meets academic standards and addresses the needs of all learners.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help students succeed.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
Incorporate Christian principles and values into daily lessons and interactions.
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators to support student development.
Participate in professional development and school community activities.
