About The Position

Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org) is seeking a part-time Elementary Teacher to teach a classical and Catholic 5th-grade classroom for up to 14 hours per week at their center in St. Leo, Florida. The academy offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. The positions are hourly, and childcare/nursery is provided. No additional vacation days are given, though accommodations are made for sick days as needed. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided, and tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. All staff complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching.

Requirements

• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church.
• Deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good organization.
• Timeliness.
• A traditional view of the student/teacher relationship.
• Must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
• Must complete a background check.
• Must complete RCA Safe Child training.
