Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
  • Valid state teaching certification for Elementary Education.
  • Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in using technology for instruction, assessment, and communication.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience teaching at the elementary level preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for both Kindergarten and 4th Grade.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through formal and informal evaluations, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students.
  • Foster a love for learning by incorporating hands-on activities, technology, and creative projects into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary units and school-wide initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and trends.
  • Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, ensuring adherence to school policies and procedures.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students by promoting positive behavior and conflict resolution skills.
