About The Position

This role is for a 4th Grade Elementary Teacher who is responsible for integrating faith into student learning, demonstrating effective classroom management, and cultivating meaningful relationships with students to foster academic and spiritual growth. The teacher will plan and execute lessons with student uniqueness in mind, assign meaningful homework, and maintain student records. They are expected to demonstrate mastery of the curriculum, use differentiated instruction based on data, and be self-reflective and collaborative. Decisions and actions should be student and God-centered, and the teacher must respect the Parent/Student Handbook. Other duties may be assigned by the administrator.

Requirements

  • Must hold Bachelor’s degree
  • Current teaching license preferred
  • Demonstrates content mastery
  • Affirms Bethel’s statements of faith
  • Affirmance of being a born-again Christian
  • Will serve as an example of Christ’s love
  • Lives according to Bethel’s biblical standards
  • Regular church attendance and involvement in a church that is like-faith

Responsibilities

  • Is intentional and consistent at integrating faith into living relationships
  • Demonstrates classroom management (routine, discipline) appropriate for grade level assigned
  • Cultivates a meaningful relationship with students that help student grow academically and spiritually
  • Exhibits organization, preparation, and transitioning in planning
  • Assigns meaningful homework which adds value to student learning
  • Maintains appropriate student records in online database
  • Demonstrates mastery of curriculum, objectives, and resources while continuously increasing professional knowledge
  • Provides sufficient and clear expectations at all times
  • Plans and executes instruction/lessons with student uniqueness in mind
  • Supervises student learning activities and other supervisory duties actively and well, during and outside of instructional time
  • Uses differentiated instruction and adjusts instruction based on data when necessary
  • Is self-reflective, teachable, and willing to collaborate with constructive feedback
  • Collaborative, giving and receiving perspectives of colleagues; willingness to join professional development activities
  • Decisions, changes, and choices are student and God centered
  • Respects expectations outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook
  • Other duties as assigned by the administrator
