About The Position

Klamath Falls City Schools is seeking an exceptional educator to join the team at Mills Elementary School. Mills Elementary serves students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs and is making significant investments in student support, instructional excellence, and teacher success. This is an opportunity to join a school that is strengthening instructional systems, improving schoolwide behavior supports, increasing coaching and professional learning, and building systems that allow teachers to focus more fully on instruction and student relationships. Teachers will work within a highly collaborative environment focused on strong relationships with students, highly engaging instruction, active student participation, and ensuring every student experiences success every day. The school offers dedicated support staff for copying, classroom preparation, behavior assistance, instructional coaching, and apprentice teachers for classroom support and instructional continuity during absences, all aimed at allowing teachers to focus more on teaching, planning, relationships, and student support.

Requirements

• Hold or qualify for a valid Oregon Teaching License issued by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC)
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and staff
• Commitment to high expectations and strong instructional practices for all students
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-based instructional environment
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success of students
• Must have regular and reliable attendance and the ability to perform the essential functions of the position
• Responsibility of employee to obtain and maintain all required trainings, certifications, and licensure
