About The Position

This posting is not for a current specific position with the Edmonds School District. Applications will only be reviewed should vacancies become available, until then applications will be placed into an applicant pool for Elementary Teachers (General Education K-6) for the 2026-27 school year. Once a position has been confirmed, the Hiring Administrator may hire directly from this pool or advertise individual positions. Elementary applicants are encouraged to apply for this pool as well as any additional individual positions that may be advertised. Please select your grade level and teaching preferences in the question section of your application. Applications are being accepted for the following elementary positions: Kindergarten, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grade 4, Grade 5, Grade 6.

Requirements

  • Washington State Teaching Certificate with an Elementary Education endorsement.
  • Complete application includes: Cover Letter, Resume, 2 Confidential Reference Surveys, 2 Letters of Recommendation, and Transcripts.
  • Confidential reference forms must be completed by 11:00 p.m. on the closing date.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to candidates that currently have an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement.
  • SIOP training and GLAD training offered by the Multilingual Education Department will be required for all new employees unless they can show evidence of having completed SIOP and GLAD training previously. Training will need to be completed within the first two years of employment.
