Elementary Teacher, Grade 3, Long-Term Substitute
About The Position
This is a long-term substitute position for a 3rd Grade Elementary Teacher at Tri-City United - Montgomery K-8. The role is a 1.0 FTE position expected to last approximately 4-5 months, starting November 2nd, 2026. The teacher will be responsible for preparing daily/weekly lesson plans, utilizing best practices in lesson development and delivery, and addressing student needs aligned with Minnesota Standards. The position also involves active participation in professional development and collaboration time (PLC/CLT), preparing students for college, careers, and life, and promoting school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program.
Requirements
- Minnesota Teaching License Required
- Elementary Teaching experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and collaborate with students, parents/guardians, and staff to promote student engagement
- Utilize best practice (research-based) strategies in lesson development and delivery
- Prepare daily/weekly lesson plans addressing student needs as aligned with the Minnesota Standards
- Understand and promote school-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program within our schools
- Actively participate in all professional development activities and professional collaboration time (PLC / CLT)
