Elementary Teacher - 4th Grade at Graham
About The Position
Graham Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and qualified Elementary Teacher for a 4th Grade position. This is a 180-day contract position reporting to the Building Principal. The role involves implementing new strategies for curriculum and instructional improvement, establishing evaluation procedures, participating in staff development, contributing to school improvement initiatives, and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Effective communication with students, parents, the public, and staff is essential. The application deadline is August 21, 2026, at 4:00 PM, with an effective date of the first contractual day of the 2026-2027 school year. Salary and benefits are in accordance with the current SEA negotiated agreement.
Requirements
- Valid Illinois Professional Educators License, elementary endorsement
- Knowledge of current curriculum, instructional trends, and school improvement process
Responsibilities
- Attend district in-services and professional development opportunities in order to implement new strategies for curriculum and instructional improvement
- Establish and implement appropriate evaluation procedures
- Active participation in appropriate staff development activities
- Contribute as a team member and/or leader to all school improvement initiatives
- Maintain a classroom climate and management plan conducive to learning
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, the public, and staff
- Other duties as assigned
