Paraprofessionals will work with rising first through fifth graders in an elementary summer programming role. Students will be engaged in a variety of daily directed and independent literacy activities, math instruction, and direct instruction in ESL. Duties will include working with small groups of students or one-on-one under the direction of the teacher, monitoring students’ safety, and collaborating with teachers to establish and support shared expectations for students. The program will be held from July 6 to August 6, 2026, with program times on Mondays - Thursdays from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm for a total of 20 days. In addition to instructional time, paraprofessionals will act as bus monitors during arrival and dismissal from elementary sites. Sites include Whittemore Elementary School and Plympton Elementary School. The salary is $2,310 for 110 hours, equating to $21/hr.
