About The Position

This position is a combined role of student success coaching at Delaware Elementary School and program leading at Dream Center Evansville (DCE). The Student Success Coaching aspect involves collaborating with Delaware Elementary staff to support Dream Center students during the school day, providing small group and one-on-one coaching focused on goal setting, academic success, and social-emotional learning (SEL). This also includes assisting with student supervision during lunch, recess, and other designated times, and building positive, supportive relationships with students and school personnel. The Program Leadership aspect involves creating and maintaining a safe, engaging, and structured program environment that aligns with the mission and values of Dream Center Evansville. This includes cultivating a Christ-centered culture that supports students’ spiritual growth, building meaningful connections with students to encourage participation and engagement, and planning and leading high-quality classroom and gym activities that promote learning and growth. It also involves leading Social Emotional Learning curriculum and Bible-based ministry curriculum, implementing effective classroom management strategies and positive youth development practices, and supporting out-of-school academic interventions.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience with children and managing a classroom setting preferred
Models behavior that is consistent with Christ’s teaching
Must be a member or regular attender of a Bible-believing church
Has a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ
Proven ability to work in a fast pace environment
Can multitask effectively
Passionate about changing the lives of students in the Jacobsville community
Be 21 years of age and willing to be trained to drive 15 passenger vans/buses
Demonstrates strong relationship building skills with children and adults
Pass a volunteer background check
Hold a valid driver’s license
Criminal background check must show no conviction of a felony or misdemeanor crime including, but not limited to abuse, drugs or alcohol, neglect, theft or fraud.
