About The Position

This position is a combined role of student success coaching at Delaware Elementary School and program leading at Dream Center Evansville (DCE). The role involves supporting Dream Center students during the school day through small group and one-on-one coaching focused on goal setting, academic success, and social-emotional learning. It also includes assisting with student supervision during lunch, recess, and other designated times, and building positive relationships with students and school personnel. Outside of school hours, the role involves creating and maintaining a safe, engaging, and structured program environment that aligns with the mission and values of Dream Center Evansville. This includes cultivating a Christ-centered culture, building meaningful connections with students, and planning and leading high-quality activities that promote learning, growth, social-emotional development, and spiritual growth. The role also involves implementing effective classroom management strategies, positive youth development practices, and supporting out-of-school academic interventions.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience with children and managing a classroom setting preferred
Models behavior that is consistent with Christ’s teaching
Must be a member or regular attender of a Bible-believing church
Has a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ
Proven ability to work in a fast pace environment
Can multitask effectively
Pass a volunteer background check and hold a valid driver’s license.
Criminal background check must show no conviction of a felony or misdemeanor crime including, but not limited to abuse, drugs or alcohol, neglect, theft or fraud.
Be 21 years of age and willing to be trained to drive 15 passenger vans/buses

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Delaware Elementary staff to support Dream Center students during the school day
Provide small group and one-on-one coaching focused on: Goal setting, Academic success, Social-emotional learning (SEL)
Assist with student supervision during lunch, recess, and other designated times
Build positive, supportive relationships with students and school personnel
Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and structured program environment that aligns with the mission and values of Dream Center Evansville
Cultivate a Christ-centered culture that supports students’ spiritual growth
Build meaningful connections with students to encourage participation and engagement
Plan and lead: High-quality classroom and gym activities that promote learning and growth, Social Emotional Learning curriculum, Bible-based ministry curriculum
Implement: Effective classroom management strategies, Positive youth development practices
Support out-of-school academic interventions
