Elementary Special Education Teacher
About The Position
The Elementary Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction and support for elementary students with exceptional needs. The role involves implementing IEP goals, delivering individualized interventions, monitoring student progress, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with Delaware regulations. The teacher collaborates with general education teachers and support staff and fosters an inclusive, supportive learning environment. This is a full-time contract position in Bear, Delaware, with full-time hours Monday through Friday. The start date is ASAP, and the assignment ends at the end of the Extended School Year (ESY). Compensation is $40.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience, with bi-weekly payroll through an agency.
Requirements
- Delaware Teaching Certification in Special Education.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction across grade levels.
