About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students with student-specific needs (SSN) in the Colorado Springs, CO area for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves providing individualized 1:1 support for students with student-specific needs (SSN), including behavioral, academic, medical, and safety interventions. The teacher will implement behavior support plans and individualized accommodations to help students meet academic, social, and functional goals. Support will also be provided to students requiring specialized assistance, including mobility, feeding, toileting, and elopement-prevention services. Instruction and learning activities will be adapted to meet the unique needs of elementary students (Grades K-5). Collaboration with families, multidisciplinary teams, and paraprofessionals is essential to ensure consistent, high-quality student support.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field
Valid Colorado CDE Initial or Professional Teacher License with a Special Education Generalist endorsement
Experience supporting students with intensive behavioral, medical, or individualized academic needs in a school-based setting
