This position involves instructing students and facilitating their learning in accordance with corporation policies and state guidelines. The teacher will guide students in educational activities designed to promote intellectual, social, and physical growth, and teach essential skills that will contribute to students' development as educated and responsible adults. The role requires teaching corporation-approved curriculum while creating a classroom and total school environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. The teacher will also assist administration in implementing policies and rules governing student life and conduct, develop and inform students of reasonable rules concerning classroom procedures and behavior, and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment. Instruction will occur at designated times and locations, employing various instructional techniques, media, and assessments to guide the learning process toward academic achievement and curriculum goals. Clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects will be established and communicated to students. Student accomplishments will be assessed regularly, with progress reports provided as required. Accurate and complete records will be maintained as per legal and administrative requirements. The teacher will administer and analyze standardized testing data, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to maximize student success. Additionally, the teacher will recognize the special needs of students with learning disabilities, seek assistance from corporation specialists when necessary, and make appropriate individualized physical and instructional accommodations within the classroom.
