  • Hold a valid teaching certification in NJ or meet the GPA requirement.
  • If graduated after September 2016: Bachelor's or Master's GPA ≥ 3.0, OR GPA between 2.75 and 3.0 AND passed all required Praxis exams with a +10% passing score.
  • If graduated before September 2016: Bachelor's or Master's GPA ≥ 2.75.

Responsibilities

  • Create, internalize, modify, and prepare lesson plans in accordance with the academic curriculum, collaborating with the grade-level team.
  • Utilize data to teach towards mastery of academic skills.
  • Work collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues to foster a supportive environment for student progress.
  • Reinforce a strong foundation for all classes and uphold classroom management techniques.
  • Assist with diagnostic and progress monitoring testing across the school.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to ensure all students meet learning objectives.
  • Update student performance trackers and use data to guide lesson planning.
  • Participate in school, departmental, and parent meetings.
  • Engage in school events, activities, and programs outside of regular class instruction hours.
