About The Position

This position contributes to the efficient operation of a school office, enabling it to play an effective part in the education process. The role involves performing general school-related secretarial duties, assisting with student registration and record maintenance, managing office supplies, preparing and distributing school documents, and supporting school functions.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate/GED
  • Accurately type 55 WPM
  • Experience with personal computer
  • Experience in general office work

Responsibilities

  • Operate standard office machines and perform general school-related secretarial duties.
  • Help maintain a positive school image.
  • Assist with registration of new students and maintenance of school records required for school attendance.
  • Assist with ordering of materials and bookstore supplies unless primary responsibility is delegated by principal.
  • Assist in preparation, production, and distribution of school forms and handbooks.
  • Assist in preparation, production, and distribution of school bulletins.
  • Assist with checking students in and out.
  • After inservice training, assist in administering first aid to control contagious or emergency medical problems in the absence of the school nurse.
  • Assist in administering parent supplied medication and properly record each dose.
  • Support and assist in school functions.
  • Assist in the updating of the computerized student directory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
