About The Position

Castle Rock School District is seeking an Hourly Staff (dishwasher) for the elementary school cafeteria. This position is for 4.0 hours per day during the 2026-27 school year. The role involves assisting with food preparation, cleaning, cashiering, and maintaining health and training standards for food service.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A current Cowlitz county health card.
• A valid Washington state drivers license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team concept.
• Demonstrated organization skills and commitment to follow through on tasks without direct supervision.
• A positive attitude toward children, their families and staff.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Criminal history fingerprint clearance through Washington State patrol and FBI at employees expense.

Nice To Haves

• Recent successful cafeteria experience in like setting.
• Demonstrated ability to relate to supervisors/administrators.
• Demonstrated knowledge of personal computers and software.

Responsibilities

• Properly cleans, sanitizes, and stores dishes, utensils, etc. as directed.
• Cleans area daily.
• May help with loading and unloading supplies up to 50 lbs.
• Help deliver supplies to other buildings.
• Empty garbage in kitchen area.
• Assists co-workers as needed.
• Maintains a record of regular attendance, arrives and departs at specified times and notifies appropriate personnel when they must be absent.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• May travel to other buildings for supplies.
• Maintains Safe School trainings and Professional Standards training yearly.
• Flexible in schedule (i.e. early release, late arrival, assemblies, etc.).
