About The Position

Empowerment Academy Charter School is hiring a PE/Health Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year and beyond at our Elementary School! Empowerment Academy is a dynamic and several charter school that truly supports its teachers and staff. Empowerment has 3 of its own campuses, and BelovED is our “sister school.” We serve a mix of students that are among the most diverse in America while enjoying the cultural vibrance of Jersey City, Hoboken and New York City. Our staff is a dedicated group of individuals passionate about closing the achievement gap and providing a quality educational program.

Requirements

Certified by the NJ DOE or certification is actively pending.
Hold a CE, CEAS, Limited CE, or Standard Certificate in “PE/Health” issued by the NJDOE.
Teacher certification is required for this role.

Responsibilities

Teach elementary physical education and health.
Plan lessons and solve problems with peers in professional learning communities (PLCs).
Partner with an array of specialists to meet scholars’ diverse needs.
