About The Position

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks a passionate physical education teacher for its elementary grade levels. The P.E./Health teacher will lead daily P.E. instruction across multiple grade levels. P.E. instruction in kindergarten through fourth grade will supplement other core academic areas. This is a full-time position and will work closely within the existing specials department, which includes P.E. and other specials classes. As a specials teacher, they would see students across multiple grade levels and be responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their School Leader. This role is available at KIPP Impact Academy.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Equivalent (K-12 Physical Education/Health)
At least one year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom
Possesses a deep commitment to both racial and educational equity for all children
Passing a background check, as required by law

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree preferred
Two or more years of teaching experience highly preferred
Two or more years of K-8 teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom
