About The Position

Made for Math™ is an all-online math intervention service for families with students that have dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, and autism. We are dedicated to getting our students results and know that the work we do is life-changing for our students. This is a part-time, long-term position for a growing company, not a contract or summer-only role. The ideal candidate is a research and pedagogy enthusiast who enjoys learning new software, finding answers independently, and mastering a structured, systematic math method to help students reach their highest potential. This role is perfect for someone who loves solving the unique learning challenges of individual students.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Degree in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, or other Education related fields
Good communication skills with parents
Patient and can adjust to the mood of the student
Able to teach in a fun and enthusiastic way while also keeping the lesson clutter free
At least 2+ years of teaching experience
Must be able to work a minimum of 14 hours with students per week
Paid for lesson planning/admin time for a total of 21 hours per week

Responsibilities

Meet with students in 25 to 55-minute sessions weekly
Work primarily in the afternoons and evenings (Hours are Monday-Thursday from 10 AM - 5 PM Pacific Time)
Assess student’s starting point using our game-centered assessment
Curate lesson plans tailored to your students
Track student progress and email parents to communicate progress
Attend team meetings (Mondays at 1 pm Pacific Time and other times as arranged)
