About The Position

Notre Dame Elementary School is seeking a 6th Grade Math & Science Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. The teacher will assist students in mastering skills and information in the school curriculum while helping them to grow in faith and responsibility. This role involves integrating Catholic teachings and virtues, understanding student learning and development, knowing the subject content, using varied assessments, planning and delivering effective instruction, creating Christ-centered learning environments, collaborating with stakeholders, and assuming responsibility for professional growth.

Requirements

Hold an appropriate Ohio Teaching License (Professional, Permanent, or Resident Educator) or be eligible to obtain one before beginning to teach.
Current satisfactory BCI & FBI background checks.
Have attended or be willing to attend a Virtus Protecting God's Children training.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Appropriate state certification/license as required by the grade levels and subjects taught.
Religious Education certification as required by the diocese.
