About The Position
Emmott Elementary School is seeking a Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in the Elementary Math Interventionist role. The position is a 187-day probationary/term contract. The salary is listed as IA-3: $64,207. The teacher will develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function. The position requires maintaining emotional control under stress and involves frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing, as well as moving small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university.
- Valid Texas EC–6 or EC–4 certification; Standard, Provisional, or One-Year certificates are accepted. ACP candidates on a probationary certificate do not qualify.
- Strong experience with at-risk/small-group reading intervention and instruction.
- Excellent classroom management.
- This position does not qualify for a lateral teacher transfer within CFISD during the school year.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three years of successful experience as an elementary classroom teacher preferred.
