Elementary Mandarin and After School Teacher
About The Position
Stratford School, part of Spring Education Group, is seeking a temporary Elementary Mandarin and After School Teacher. This role involves working as part of a team to develop and implement a plan of instruction for the afterschool immersion program, focusing on Mandarin vocabulary, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The teacher must be professionally prepared to teach Mandarin to young children. The position is temporary, with an anticipated duration of approximately 4–5 months. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with availability required until 6:00 p.m. daily. Responsibilities include planning and supervising the afterschool curriculum, collaborating with faculty, providing administrative support, floating between classrooms, monitoring student progress, and maintaining a classroom environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Two years of prior classroom experience in an elementary setting
- Must be fluent in English and Mandarin
- Be authorized to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
