About The Position

KIPP Minnesota seeks exceptional licensed Elementary Education teachers for our upcoming school year. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits. Starting salary for Tier 1 teachers is $44,880+. Other benefits include many paid days off, including breaks and eight additional PTO days for Teachers. We also have "For You Fridays" (an afternoon off). The district is willing to work with applicants whose licenses are in process or who need an out-of-field permission license.

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field teaching
• Minnesota state certification in teaching appropriate subject areas (K-6 Elementary Education). Applicants who will hold the following credentials by August 31st of each school year are welcome to apply. We will work with applicants whose license is in process.

• Minimum three (3) years of classroom teaching experience

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of and proficiency with subject matter
• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitates active learning
• Plans and delivers instruction for a variety of learners
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction

• Monitors hallways between classroom duties to establish safety and clear expectations of student behaviors in the hallways
• Home visits to students/families' home twice per school year
• Performs duties as required/requested
