About The Position

This is a 1.0 FTE (LTS) position for an Elementary Education Teacher specializing in STEM/Media, effective at the beginning of the 2026-27 school year. The teacher will be responsible for teaching the curriculum of Independent School District 196, carrying out responsibilities as defined by the master contract and the principal, and maintaining good communication and cooperation with staff and parents. The school district is a Minnesota public school district of choice serving over 29,000 students and is one of the largest employers in Dakota County with over 4,000 employees. It comprises 20 elementary schools, six middle schools, four high schools, and various specialized programs including an environmental studies school, an area learning center, a special education school, and early childhood and adult basic education services.

Requirements

• Licensed by the state of Minnesota as a Library/Media Specialist.
• Strong general academic background.
• Ability to relate positively to students, staff, and community.
