Elementary School Teacher
About The Position
Montessori Reggio Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Elementary Classroom Teacher for Grades 1–5. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, classroom leadership, student development, and creating a positive learning environment. This role requires someone who is dependable, organized, professional, and committed to supporting each child academically, socially, and emotionally. The Elementary Classroom Teacher will be responsible for leading a Grades 1–5 elementary classroom, preparing and delivering lessons, maintaining classroom structure, communicating with parents and administration, and supporting the overall academic success of students. The teacher must be certified through the State of Texas or hold a Montessori certification.

Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching Grades 1–5 preferred
- Experience in a private school, Montessori, Reggio-inspired, or elementary classroom setting
- Experience with differentiated instruction
- Strong understanding of child development and elementary academic standards
- Ability to support students with different learning styles and needs
- Comfortable using technology for classroom communication and documentation
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage an elementary classroom for students in Grades 1–5
- Prepare and implement daily lesson plans that support student learning and development
- Provide instruction in core academic subjects, including language arts, math, science, social studies, and related curriculum areas
- Maintain a structured, calm, and engaging classroom environment
- Monitor student progress and provide support based on individual learning needs
- Use positive classroom management strategies and maintain clear expectations
- Communicate professionally with parents, administration, and team members
- Maintain accurate student records, classroom documentation, and progress updates
- Prepare materials and classroom activities in advance
- Support Montessori and/or Reggio-inspired learning practices
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, school events, and professional development sessions
- Follow all school policies, procedures, licensing standards, and safety guidelines
- Work collaboratively with administration, support staff, and other teachers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and prepared classroom environment
