About The Position

Electrophysiology Technologist (EP Tech) needed for a 50-week assignment in Hackensack, NJ. This role involves assisting physicians during various electrophysiology procedures, operating monitoring systems, and maintaining procedural readiness. The position requires a strong understanding of electrophysiology workflows and excellent communication skills. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program, OR Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist Program, OR Associate Degree in Applied Science (AAS).
  • Cath Lab and Electrophysiology experience required.
  • Experience with EP mapping, ablation procedures, and implantable cardiac devices.
  • Strong sterile scrub technique experience.
  • Current AHA BLS Certification.
  • ACLS Certification (or obtained within 3 months of hire).
  • RCIS Certification (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) OR Radiologic Technologist License.
  • English proficiency (Speak, Read, and Write).

Nice To Haves

  • RCIS, RCES, or RT credential.
  • Strong understanding of electrophysiology workflows and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize procedure-specific equipment and sterile trays.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures.
  • Support EP mapping, ablation procedures, and implantable cardiac device cases.
  • Operate and maintain hemodynamic monitoring systems.
  • Calculate and analyze hemodynamic data, cardiac output, and oximetry readings.
  • Load and operate power injectors and associated equipment.
  • Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, and hemostasis management.
  • Apply radial access banding while maintaining hemostasis.
  • Recognize and interpret cardiac arrhythmias.
  • Maintain inventory levels and ensure procedural readiness.
  • Participate in Cath Lab/EP Lab on-call rotation.
  • Ensure proper storage and retrieval of patient imaging and hemodynamic records.
  • Assist with maintenance and calibration of cardiovascular equipment.
