About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Technologist to support cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role involves assisting physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, including electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implants. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and experience in Cath Lab and EP settings.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program, Radiologic Technologist Program, or Associate Degree in Applied Science (AAS) or related field.
  • Experience in Cardiac Catheterization Lab and/or Electrophysiology procedures.
  • Knowledge of electrophysiology mapping systems, ablation procedures, and implantable cardiac devices.
  • Strong understanding of sterile techniques and procedural protocols.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical records.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months of hire
  • RCIS, RCES, or Radiologic Technologist (RT) credential
  • Must obtain RCIS certification within 1 year if not already certified

Responsibilities

  • Prepare procedure rooms, sterile fields, and equipment for cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures.
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology procedures, including ablations and device implantations.
  • Operate and monitor hemodynamic systems and cardiovascular imaging equipment.
  • Calibrate and maintain monitoring equipment to ensure accurate data collection.
  • Assist with vascular access, sheath removal, and hemostasis management.
  • Document hemodynamic data, cardiac outputs, and procedural findings.
  • Monitor and respond to cardiac arrhythmias during procedures.
  • Support pacemaker placements and circulatory support devices such as IABP and Impella.
  • Maintain inventory and ensure functionality of procedural equipment.
  • Adhere to clinical documentation standards and electronic systems.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response activities.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and sterile technique standards.
