About The Position

The Electrophysiology APP will perform initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and daily assessments. They will record findings of examinations, assessments, and the plan of care. The APP will also perform minor office-based medical and/or surgical procedures, write appropriate prescriptions, and administer medications. They will order and interpret daily laboratory and radiology examinations, and determine the treatment plan for patients. Documentation of all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in the patient's medical record is crucial. The APP will act as a patient advocate and attend, participate, and contribute to group/practice meetings and the development of policies and procedures when requested.

Requirements

Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.
Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
Must speak English fluently and in understandable terms.
Must possess intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch, and finger dexterity.
Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations.
Schedule primarily composed of weekday shifts, less than or equal to 200 hours of weekend and/or night coverage.
Nurse Practitioner Master's Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
License to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
Certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body required.
