About The Position

This role is responsible for assembling small, precision mechanical assemblies in a low-volume production environment. The position also performs troubleshooting and product testing, partners with engineering to improve product quality and performance, and supports the development of test procedures for new and existing products.

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing, production, or laboratory environment where personal protective equipment is required.
  • Associate degree or higher in an engineering discipline required.
  • Five or more years of related technical and/or industry experience with strong mechanical aptitude required.

Nice To Haves

  • A combination of formal technical training and additional related experience may be considered in lieu of an engineering-related degree.
  • Experience leading, participating in, or supporting functional training and mentoring preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and Lean manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Use precision test equipment to test and troubleshoot circuit boards, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, data acquisition modules, and similar equipment.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineering to release new products and resolve production or test-related issues as they arise.
  • Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and related technical documentation.
  • Perform soldering and rework on assemblies as needed.
  • Provide training to others on test procedures, equipment use, and related work instructions.
  • Communicate clearly with departments and stakeholders regarding production, testing, quality, and technical issues.
  • Apply strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, oral communication, and written communication skills.
