About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Test Technician to join their Sykesville, Maryland team. In this role, you will work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives and contribute to national security. The position involves applying electronics principles in the fabrication, test, and troubleshooting of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems. You will perform acceptance test procedures to verify equipment function, select and calibrate specialized equipment, verify product and paperwork configurations, measure and analyze electrical performance data, and prepare test reports. The role also includes programming and verifying devices, troubleshooting systems and test setups, assisting engineers with design and circuit development, constructing complex components and prototype devices, performing initial procedural tests and modifications, adapting to changing assignments, developing processes and test specifications, and integrating software and hardware through debugging and system modification.

Requirements

Must have a current active DoD Secret Security Clearance (minimum) with an investigation date of less than 5 years.
High School Diploma/GED with an additional 6 or more years of relevant experience with fabrication and test of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits and systems.
Must have experience with electronics principles.

Responsibilities

Determine methods and techniques for monitoring tests and measuring electrical performance on complex systems.
Select, set up, calibrate, and operate complex and specialized equipment and facilities.
Verify and validate product and paperwork configuration, test processes, and test equipment/setup configuration and calibration.
Measure, collect, and record electrical performance data, including analysis and evaluation.
Prepare accurate and complete test reports of all recorded data.
Program and verify devices.
Troubleshoot systems, devices, processes, and test set-ups to locate and repair defective areas.
Assist engineers in creating designs and developing circuits, processes, and operations to ensure proper product and test equipment function.
Develop, construct, and test highly complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems.
Develop and construct experimental and prototype devices, models, and systems.
Perform repairs and calibrations as necessary.
Perform initial procedural tests on new and/or changed equipment.
Make modifications/calibrations as required to achieve desired results.
Adapt to changing assignments and requirements.
Develop processes, test specifications, and revision notices.
Perform integration of software and hardware through debugging, writing code, and modifying systems.
Perform maintenance and integration of peripherals and networks.
