About The Position

Join Indotronix as an Electronics Test Technician II in Austin, TX, and work onsite with a team dedicated to solving the aerospace and defense industry’s most complex electronics challenges. As a key contributor on the 2nd Shift (Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM), you’ll test, troubleshoot, and calibrate advanced PCB assemblies, ensuring top-tier quality and reliability for mission-critical systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of manufacturing experience in PCB testing and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in hand soldering and ability to become solder certified
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Computer literacy, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to work in a team environment
  • High school diploma or two years of trade school education

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with test instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and RF analyzers
  • Ability to troubleshoot independently to the component level
  • IPC-A-610 and J-STD certifications (Modules 1, 3, and 6 highly desirable)
  • Familiarity with quality assurance and statistical process controls

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional and diagnostic testing of PCB boards and electronic assemblies using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and RF analyzers
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic components to the board and component level, following precise diagrams and schematics
  • Perform hand soldering of components, ensuring work meets IPC-A-610 and J-STD standards
  • Set up, adjust, and calibrate test apparatus and production equipment per established procedures
  • Modify assemblies by adding, removing, or altering components as specified
  • Document test results, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings to engineering and production teams
  • Monitor and verify quality using statistical process controls or other quality assurance methods
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production schedules and continuous improvement goals
