About The Position

In this role, the Electronics Technician will perform various electrical tests such as dielectric, hi-pot, open circuit testing, shorted output, etc. The Electronics Technician will work closely with Engineering to troubleshoot electrical failures and improve processes. May be involved in testing for new product development.

Requirements

  • Associates degree from an accredited university or college in a technical discipline such as Electronics or Industrial Electronics.
  • At least 18 years of age by the time of joining.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of electronics.
  • Demonstrated ability in reading and interpretation of electrical schematics.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic/electrical theory.
  • Good manual dexterity to work with hand tools, test equipment and computers.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible under changing conditions and with different tasks, responsibilities, and people.
  • Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Programming ability using Microsoft C or Visual Basic.
  • Experience with CAD.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up test equipment and tests complex equipment using established procedures, schematics and applicable Engineering, Manufacturing, Component Maintenance manuals or other approved documentation.
  • Troubleshoot, layout, install, modification and maintenance of complex electronics equipment utilizing schematics and knowledge of the assigned technology, systems and components.
  • Uses associated tools, measuring and test equipment.
  • Set-up test stand and manipulate the software to work with the control.
  • Performs tests of various types according to engineering documentation and knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Creates appropriate documentation when needed (electrical schematics, procedures, instructions, etc.)
  • Interacts with internal and external customers as needed.
  • Has independent responsibility for compliance to Environment, Health & Safety.
  • Multi-task between several projects at once while maintaining departmental quality standards.
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow all safety procedures.
  • Ability and willingness to cross-train employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
  • Other duties as assigned.
