About The Position

SimTech, Inc. is seeking Senior Electronics Technicians in Huntsville, Alabama, to support the PM Mounted Armored Vehicle Bradley Fighting Vehicle platform. The role performs production and manufacturing work assembling cable harnesses and electronic components according to work orders, technical drawings, and detailed instructions. Work takes place in assembly, manufacturing, and production environments, including equipment assembly areas, and may involve technical and electronic testing equipment and specialized software. Telework may be included.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship is required.
5–10 years of demonstrated relevant experience in a related field.
Experience with wire harnesses and cable assemblies is required.
Experience with warehouse and manufacturing processes and procedures.
Ability to move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment and meet the physical demands associated with the work.
Must participate in a skills-based assessment as part of the interview process.

Nice To Haves

IPC-J-STD-001 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assemble cable harnesses and electronic components in accordance with work orders and technical drawings.
Perform production and manufacturing tasks, including building cable harnesses, interpreting technical drawings, and completing product quality checks.
Cut, sort, color-code, measure, crimp, solder, and route wire, heat-shrink, and related materials to form wire harnesses.
Operate wire strippers, crimpers, soldering irons, heat guns, and associated tools.
Read and follow wire harness assembly instructions.
Gather materials and tooling needed to perform work in an organized manner.
Perform hand assembly operations based on detailed instructions.
Conduct functional and continuity tests of wire harnesses and cable assemblies.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections.
Perform other duties as assigned.
