SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technical Support IV to support and assist Site Leadership of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Information Operations (UAVIO) program Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC-Pac), Naval Base Point Loma, by providing technical expertise necessary to build custom analog and digital cables based on Government-provided CAD drawings as well as production and repairs of electronics equipment to support the UAVIO RF laboratory space and technologies under test. Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data. Prepares engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics, etc.). Performs mathematical calculations per engineering specifications. Undertakes analysis of data where guidelines are provided. This role is ONSITE in San Diego, CA. Must be local to the area. There will be up to 10% of travel involved for this role.
