About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Facilities Performance Group Operations Manager, the Electronics Technician III maintains and repairs utility meters, HVAC, lighting, electrical, building automation, and devices that acquire data from these systems. The technician reviews and ensures operational readiness of new and existing electromechanical systems and completes system checkout as needed. The position also develops skills in using computers and mobile devices to program, operate, test, and calibrate electrical and HVAC metering devices used to measure campus energy use and system performance. The position is telework eligible, but includes field work and travel to meetings and project sites on and off campus. The incumbent is designated an Essential: Weather/Other employee and is subject to a 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week span of operation.
