About The Position

Amentum is seeking an Electronics Technician II (Full Scale) to provide support for a position located at Tyndall AFB, FL. This role involves supporting Full Scale operations, including aircraft/targets and equipment, alternate mission equipment (AME), scoring systems, and aircraft communication systems. The technician will perform PMTs and support operational requirements, utilizing test equipment to certify operation and troubleshoot various systems such as ECS, ASTS, and PFLT aircraft maintenance test sets. Responsibilities also include maintaining the Environment Control System, performing component removal and installation, and fault isolation. Additionally, the technician will inspect, maintain, and purge LOX converters and servicing carts, service CO2 bottles and oxygen bailout bottles, and perform E&E inspections and maintenance on nitrogen/GOX trailers. The role involves assisting higher technical personnel with depot repairs and performing Organizational and Intermediate (O&I) type maintenance and repairs on aircraft, targets, radar, COMSEC material, and other associated equipment within the Aerial Targets contract. Typical work includes operating, inspecting, repairing, maintaining, servicing, rebuilding, modifying, and troubleshooting FSAT systems and components, applying technical knowledge using manufacturer manuals, technical orders, regulations, and COTS publications. The technician will also maintain maintenance records, enter actions into automated systems, provide technical data for documentation, and offer technical guidance and training to junior personnel.

Requirements

  • USAF Fighter Avionics Technical School Completion
  • F-16 Nose-to-Tail experience and training in other specialties such as Electrical and Environmental Systems.
  • Secret security clearance is required.
  • Applicants selected must be a US Citizen in order to apply for a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Full Scale: Aircraft/targets and equipment, alternate mission equipment (AME), scoring systems, aircraft communication systems, performs PMTs and support operational requirements
  • Utilize test equipment to certify operation and troubleshoot systems for example: ECS, ASTS and PFLT aircraft maintenance test sets, etc.
  • Maintains Environment Control System. Actions include troubleshooting, system component removal and installation, and system fault isolation through system specific technical order and test equipment diagnostics.
  • Inspects, maintains, and purges LOX converters and servicing carts. Inspects, maintains and services CO2 bottles and oxygen bailout bottles.
  • Performs E&E inspections and maintenance on nitrogen/GOX trailers.
  • Assists higher technical level personnel in the development and performance of depot repairs associated with FSAT.
  • Performs Organizational and Intermediate (O&I) type maintenance and repairs to aircraft, targets, radar, COMSEC material and other associated equipment in the Aerial Targets contract.
  • Operates, inspects, repairs, maintains, services, rebuilds, modifies, and troubleshoots FSAT systems and components.
  • Applies technical knowledge to perform duties through the use of manufacturer manuals, technical orders, regulations and COTS publications and other written documentation.
  • Assists in the development of modifications, proofing of technical orders and/or other updating of documentation as required.
  • Maintains maintenance records and enters maintenance actions in aircraft form and/or automated records.
  • Provides technical data for completion of AFTO Form 22s, QDRs, MDRs, etc.
  • Provides technical guidance and training to equal or lower-level personnel.
  • Performs aircraft maintenance and other duties, related tasks within their classifications as assigned by a Supervisor.
