About The Position

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking an Electronics Technician II-IV for their Repair & Overhaul (R&O) facility in Lynnwood, WA. Requirements

3+ years of experience in a related field.
Extensive knowledge of methods and procedures in troubleshooting, circuitry, or mechanical characteristics related to the area of assignment and ability to devise and adapt.
Familiarity with product flow through a manufacturing or repair environment.
Working knowledge of computer systems.
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Good oral expression and comprehension.
Good written expression and comprehension.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Time management skills.
Ability to learn new test software and equipment and to identify abnormal conditions in equipment and product.
Manual and finger dexterity.
Ability to make precisely coordinated movements.
Ability to work in multiple software systems, including time entry and data entry.
Ability to monitor/assess performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
AA degree in Electronic or Mechanical Technology, or equivalent knowledge through experience or other recognized educational institution.
US person status required for access to Controlled Data or Information due to ITAR regulations.

Responsibilities

Testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying repair and overhaul (R&O) electronic components, electro-mechanical assemblies, parts, equipment, and systems.
Reading component maintenance manuals, blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions.
Testing electronics units using standard test equipment and analyzing results.
Testing and maintaining circuitry or electronic components using hand and power tools.
Adjusting and replacing defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components.
Writing reports and recording data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, and specifications.
Interpreting and working in accordance with manuals, drawings, schematics, test procedures, and engineering specifications.
Identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions, and procuring replacement parts.
Troubleshooting customer failures down to the component level and training others.
Conducting repairs of customer-owned hardware down to the board level using soldering iron, heat gun, and other necessary equipment.
Maintaining system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment.
Providing customer support and education, identifying needs, and determining problem sources.
Providing user applications and engineering support and recommendations for new and existing equipment.
Performing automated testing and performance testing using various automated testing equipment and special test consoles.
Performing manual testing using standard and special purpose test equipment.
Testing units in other programs and units of greater complexity under supervision.
Practicing safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy.
Supporting Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, KPI’s, Standard Work, and Problem Solving.
Cross-training less experienced technicians and taking a leadership role in the value stream.
Working overtime if necessary.
Performing any other task assigned by supervisor or management.
Supporting customer visits.
Supporting internal and external audits.
Performing minimal work under a microscope or soldering.
