About The Position

The Electronics Technician I will be responsible for wiring and building electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies according to customer requirements. This role involves reading and interpreting various technical documents, performing mechanical installations, and ensuring the proper assembly of electronic components. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining documentation and adhering to safety protocols within a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High School Education.
  • 2+ years’ experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics and electrical diagrams.
  • An understanding of electrical currents.
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Experience using hand tools to drill, tap, and assemble electrical panel is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes and subassemblies per customer requirement.
  • Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of material.
  • Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.
  • Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
  • Complete point-to-point wiring, and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, etc.
  • Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate ECOs through Engineering.
  • Perform operations such as deburring, grinding & sawing.
  • Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within plant.
  • Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
  • Mechanical installation and electrical wiring for control panels and desks.
