About The Position

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join their Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. This role involves designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers. The position requires installing and maintaining electronic security systems, performing preventive maintenance, inspections, evaluations, and inventory. The technician will lead teams on large, complex installation projects with limited supervision, document daily toolbox talks, ORMs, and safety audits, and install and maintain equipment globally per design packages. Responsibilities also include programming and installing head-end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV systems, troubleshooting systems and hardware, leading on-site software commissioning and testing, creating project drawings, documenting and tracking RFIs, providing design assistance and feedback, documenting daily reports and project progress, communicating project and team member issues to management, creating and managing project schedules, integrating IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems, forecasting and managing project labor hours, and effectively communicating with supervisors and subordinates, while also guiding and mentoring other technicians.

Requirements

• Requires a Valid driver's license.
• Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy.
• HS diploma or GED is required.
• Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.
• An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
• 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
• 3 years of the above experience must be focused in electronic security systems.
• Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
• Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• Must be able to travel 50%.
• The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis.
• Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials.
• Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
• Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
• Walks, climbs, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
• Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
• May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
• Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
• Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
• Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
• See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Nice To Haves

• Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.
• Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems.

• Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Subordinates.
• Guide and Mentor Technicians.
