About The Position
Phoenix Defense is seeking applicants for Electronic Technician Maintenance II positions at Ft. Eustis, VA. This position is in support of the Warfighter-Training Readiness Solutions Program (W-TRS). The role involves proficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of aircraft training devices, upholding documentation standards, guiding teams, prioritizing workload, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in aircraft training device maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with specialized testing equipment
- Intermediate knowledge of aircraft training devices, components, and maintenance procedures
- Experience in connector repair and electrical troubleshooting
- Advanced mechanical aptitude with hand tools, power tools, and other mechanical equipment
Nice To Haves
- In-depth knowledge of aircraft training systems component troubleshooting and repair
- A foundational understanding of electrical theory
- Extensive familiarity with specialized tools, including but not limited to, test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Obtain/maintain a valid state driver’s license and installation driving privileges
Responsibilities
- Execute proficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of aircraft training devices
- Uphold documentation standards, ensuring complete and updated aircraft maintenance records
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding teams through complex, aircraft-related tasks
- Effectively prioritize workload, ensuring organized and timely completion of assigned projects
- Maintaining and repairing various aircraft training device components
- Understanding and applying information from manuals, service bulletins, and technical data
- Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to all safety regulations
- Perform periodic inspections on devices as determined by the OEM and local policy
- Perform miscellaneous duties to service and maintain aircraft training device appearance
- Create, update and close maintenance records of the work performed
